Guitar – Strings and Basic E and A Chords
The modern acoustic guitar has 6 strings, each of which can be tuned with the help of knobs at the head
of the guitar, to produce the desired sounds. The strumming or plucking of the strings is done with one
hand near the sound hole, while the chords are created with varying placements of the fingers of the
other hand on the strings . The length of a string is divided by frets on the neck of the guitar.
